About this event

Are you interested in applying for a Partnership Grant and receiving up to £3,000 to run an investigative STEM project or specific Tomorrow's climate scientists project in your classroom?

Book now to join the Schools Engagement team at a choice of online training sessions to find out more about the grants and application process. Sessions are currently available until the end of June and further sessions for the autumn will be added in due course. There are three different types of training sessions available:

  • Partnership Grants introductory training sessions

These hour long sessions provide prospective applicants with an introduction to the scheme before exploring the application process in more detail. The team will share hints and tips about what makes a successful application as well as sharing examples of previously funded projects. There will also be time for you to ask any questions.

  • Tomorrow's climate scientists

Tomorrow's climate scientists is an extension to the Partnership Grants scheme and funds schools who are specifically researching into climate change and biodiversity. In these hour long sessions there will be an introduction to the programme before exploring the application process in more detail and there will be time for any questions. By taking part in Tomorrow's climate scientists you can give your students a chance to have not just a voice but an opportunity to take action themselves to address climate change and biodiversity issues.

  • Drop-in application support sessions

In these sessions teachers can drop in at any point across the 30 minutes for specific support in relation to their application. This support can either be initial project development support, such as guidance on project ideas or finding a STEM partner, or the drop in can be used to request feedback on a draft application. If you would like to receive feedback on a draft application, you must email the Schools Engagement team (education@royalsociety.org) in advance of the session so they can read your draft application before the drop in.

All sessions take place over Zoom and start at 4pm. The exact dates for each session can be found by clicking the ‘register’ button. If there are other teachers in your school or your STEM partner who are keen to attend, please share this page so they can also book.

Book now to ensure you have all the knowledge and understanding to make your application standout.

If you have any questions about these training sessions please contact education@royalsociety.org or phone 0207 451 2531.
