About this event

Please note, sessions are run throughout the year, roughly every week/fortnight during term time. Dates are added to Eventbrite about a half-term in advance.

Are you interested in applying for a Partnership Grant and receiving up to £3,000 to run an investigative STEM project in your classroom?

Book now to join the Schools Engagement team at a choice of online training sessions to find out more about the grants and application process. Sessions are currently available until the end of November 2023. There are two different types of sessions available.

Please note, the introductory training sessions will cover both the main Partnership Grants scheme and the Tomorrow's climate scientists extension, which is for those schools specifically researching into climate change and biodiversity.

  • Introductory training sessions

These sessions provide prospective applicants with an introduction to the Partnership Grants scheme, including Tomorrow's climate scientists, before exploring the application process in more detail. The team will share hints and tips about what makes a successful application, information about support available, as well as sharing examples of previously funded projects. There will also be plenty of time for you to ask any specific questions you may have about the application process or your project ideas.

  • Drop-in application support sessions

In these sessions teachers can drop in at any point across the 30 minutes for specific support in relation to their application. This support can either be initial project development support, such as guidance on project ideas or finding a STEM partner, or the drop in can be used to request feedback on a draft application. If you would like to receive feedback on a draft application, you must email the Schools Engagement team (education@royalsociety.org) in advance of the session so they can read your draft application before the drop in.

All sessions take place over Zoom and start at 4pm. The exact dates for each session can be found by clicking the ‘register’ button. If there are other teachers in your school or your STEM partner who are keen to attend, please share this page so they can also book.

Book now to ensure you have all the knowledge and understanding to make your application standout.

If you have any questions about these training sessions please contact education@royalsociety.org or phone 0207 451 2562.
