About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

PAS are hosting an online session to introduce and discuss how we will be offering support to local planning authorities to help progress local plans in 2025 and 2026 .

This will be particularly useful for LPAs who are aiming to submit their local plan before December 2026, under the present local plan system, but we will also be cover support in both the present and future plan making process.

The session will be relevant to Heads of Planning Policy, Local Plan Managers or Team leaders with the responsibility for the delivery of the local plan including staff, budgets and work programmes for their local plan.

As part of the online session, we will be launching the PAS Local Plan Leaders Network which PAS will be supporting to allow local plan officers to share information and ask advice between planning officers.

As usual, PAS events are for a local government audience and you will need a .gov.uk email address to register. We will cancel registrations from those signing up with non-local authority email addresses.

The Teams meeting link will be shared shortly before the event.

Are you aiming to submit before December 2026?

If you are a Head of Planning Policy, Local Plan Manager or team leader and your council is aiming for a local plan submission by December 2026 and you would like to engage with PAS. We would like to know a little bit about how you are progressing. If you could please fill in a few details via this online form and we will be in touch.

We run a range of events for local authority planners. Often our events are subsidised by Government which means we have to be quite strict about who is allowed to sign up. If in doubt - ask us!
