Pastel Landscape - Autumnal Colours
Sat 15 October 2016, 10:00 – 15:00 BST
Come and join me for a relaxed day of painting with chalk pastels. We will have fun experimenting with a variety of techniques suitable to creating landscapes, trees and skies in soft chalk pastels which will enable you to produce a wonderful finished Autumnal landscape by the end of the day.
The day will include step by step demonstrations of techniques and plenty of one to one tuition to support you as you work.
Please make sure you have the following:
- At least 3 sheets of A4 (or bigger) pastel paper. You may use any tonal paper such as sugar paper in a variety of shades including black! (I will have additional sheets to purchase on the day)
- A set of soft chalk pastels in a variety of colours including white
- A board and masking tape to fix down your paper for easy creating
- Also kitchen paper or rag, an eraser or putty rubber, and fixative. (fixative ensures your pastels won't smudge- you can use hairspray for this :-)
This is a very basic list so feel free to bring whatever materials you have. A set of pastel pencils can be useful for fine detail, charcoal or other soft drawing materials. blending sticks
All creative abilities are welcome. Please bring your own materials as stated but I can provide some for an additional cost so don't let a lack of equipment stop you from coming and having a go. Get in touch to discuss :-)
The workshop will include step by step demonstrations of techniques and small group size allow for plenty of one to one tuition to support you as you work.
NO NEED TO PRINT THE EVENT TICKET OUT AS I WILL HAVE THIS BEFORE THE DAY
PLEASE NOTE REFRESHMENTS ARE PROVIDED BUT BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH
There is plenty of parking and you can enter the studio via the white door that is circled on the left side of the image at the side of the building. The Orangery is highlighted in red.
