Description

Patent protection for software is a complicated, uncertain and controversial business.

The aim of this session is to explain the status of the law and enable you to understand what computer-implemented inventions might be protectable and in what countries.

About the speaker

Frederick Noble graduated from the University of Oxford in 2009 with a master's degree in Engineering and Computer Science after completing several modules including: computer networks, operating systems, computer security, intelligent systems and machine learning.

After working for two years on communications and security protocols and web technologies, he joined Albright IP in January 2012. Frederick qualified quickly as a Patent Attorney and is involved in the drafting, filing and general prosecution of patents across many fields with a particular interest in telecoms, electronics and software.
