Pathological Demand Avoidance.

Training delivered by Dr. Clare Jones (Area Educational Psychologist). Open for all school staff wishing to develop their understanding of Pathological Demand Avoidance. This is understood to be a profile of Autism Spectrum Disorder that is characterised by the avoidance of everyday demands by other people as these cause high levels of anxiety in pupils who are already very anxious, and often occurs with intense emotions and reactions.
