Education, Training and Employment pathways for young people with SEND

About this event

The SIAS (Southwark Information, Advice and Support) team are hosting a week of virtual sessions for young people with SEND (special education needs and disabilities).

There will be different providers giving talks throughout the week, providing information about a range of education and training options that you may find interesting.

If you are aged 14-25, reside in the borough of Southwark and have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan), we would love to see you at any or all of the week’s sessions. Parents and carers are more than welcome to attend.

The schedule of events confirmed so far are as follows:

Monday 21st June 10am-11:30am SIAS: Pathways to Independence & Employment

Tuesday 22nd June 1:00pm-2:00pm The Park College: Programmes for young people with autism

Tuesday 22nd June 6:30pm - 7:30pm Mencap: Supported Internships

Wednesday 23rd June 11:00am-12:00pm Inclusive Dance: Dance programme where participants learn movement and social skills that can be transferable to the world of work

Wednesday 23rd June 1:00pm-2:00pm Capel Manor: Specialist environmental college courses

Thursday 24th June 10:00am-11:00am Southwark College: Supported learning opportunities

Thursday 24th June 1:00pm-2:00pm St. Giles Trust-Your Path Project: Employability support

Thursday 24th June 5:00pm-5:45pm GLA Projects: Employ Me and Able2 programmes

Once you register we will send you a link which can be used to access any of the sessions during the week. We will also inform you of any additional events added to the schedule.
