Do you work with refugees, migrants or ESOL learners who would like to improve their skills, move towards work or find a better job? Newham ESOL Exchange is running an event on Wednesday November 8th that brings together key local providers of employability support so you can get all the information you need in 2 hours!
The event will include:
*Short presentations from:
- Newham College Apprenticeship Team
- Newham Workplace
- Department for Work and Pensions/Job Centre Plus
- the Centre for Innovation and Partnerships
- UEL's New Beginnings intensive access course
- Cllr Lakmini Shah - about the council's Conversation Cafe initiative.
*A marketplace of stalls giving information about local services, events and organisations.
*An interactive session exploring how best to encourage people to access the pathways that are available and looking at gaps in provision
*An interactive session exploring how best to encourage people to access the pathways that are available and looking at gaps in provision
*Networking sessions to meet organisations with shared interests and users.
If you or your organisation supports ESOL learners, refugees or migrants and you would like to know about pathways towards employment this is an opportunity to gather information and talk to providers.
