Overview

Thinking about starting your own business, or taking your first steps but not sure where to begin?

Join us for Pathways to Start, an introductory webinar designed to give you an overview of the Pathways to Start Programme and help you decide whether it’s right for you.

This session will introduce our fully funded, six-week online programme for people living in Oxfordshire. The programme is designed especially for those who are thinking of starting a business but may lack the confidence to make the next step.

During the webinar, you’ll learn what the programme involves, how it works, and what you can expect to gain from taking part. The Pathways to Start Programme is a Peer Networking Programme. It brings together a small, friendly group for weekly online workshops, combining practical activities with guided discussions to help you explore your ideas, recognise your strengths, and build confidence. Each group member is able to offer and obtain insight and advice. It is a very respectful yet relaxed forum.

No business or previous experience is needed – just curiosity and a willingness to give it a go. The programme is supportive, inclusive, and grounded in real life, helping you feel more prepared and confident about what comes next.

Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) scheme (Only relevant to sole traders and registered businesses)

The Growth Hub programme operates a Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) scheme. All SMEs which receive support under this programme are being aided under the UK Subsidy Control Act (2022) and The Subsidy Control (Gross Cash Amount and Gross Cash Equivalent) Regulations (2022 No. 1186).

MFA allows a beneficiary to receive up to £315,000 of Subsidy over a three-fiscal year period (i.e. the current and previous two fiscal years). The value of MFA given is the gross cash amount or the gross cash equivalent of the subsidy. The MFA value of this webinar is £361.70.

At the end of each financial year, we are required to tell you the total amount of support you have received from Enterprise Oxfordshire. By signing up to the event you are consenting to us holding your data in line with our Enterprise Oxfordshire Privacy policy to allow us to do this. We will only send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting if you opt in to marketing.
