Description

What is patient involvement in research? If you are a researcher how do you involve people in your research? This session will hear from Niamh Fitzgerald about her work with a PPI involved in alcohol studies (http://www.invo.org.uk) and from Ronan O’Carroll on the challenges of setting up a new PPI based here at Stirling.

Speaker Bios:

Professor Ronan O’Carroll is a Clinical and Health Psychologist who is interested in behaviour, health, disease and medicine. He is the lead academic for the Research Programme Health and Behaviour; Dr Niamh Fitzgerald is a Senior Lecturer in Alcohol Studies in the Institute of Social Marketing.
