Creating Repeat Pattern with Block Printing. In this A full day workshop you will learn the skills to create technical repeating designs to create a seamless repeating pattern (which could be used for pattern matching fabric or wallpapers). Each person will design and carve their design onto printing block and learn the skills of how to print their fabric to take away with them.Please bring with you some ideas and inspiration for your design. This could be images or objects or anything you'd like to start from.

• A brief history of the fascinating world of block printing
• Drawing and designing for block printing
• How to turn your design into a seamless repeating pattern
• Learning how to transfer your design onto a wooden block
• Printing your fabric - techniques for printing and alignment of your printing block to print your final design onto fabric
• You will come away with your handprinted fabric and your custom printing block, ready to continue printing at home.
