If you are a budding fashion designer with passion to make beautifully crafted and made-to-measure clothes or perhaps you may have a burning desire to be able translate those wonderful images stored up in your mind into uniquely crafted garments exactly as you envisioned then we are have just the right course for you.

COURSE DETAILS:

Beginners: Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction Course - Ref No: BPCGC-1

This is a 8 module course geared towards those who have an inherent passion for fashion, but have no knowledge on how to get started.

- Learn very basic pattern cutting skills
- Become accustomed to tools you need and the best practices in using them
- You will become accustomed to industry terminology and their application
- Learn to take tailored and made-to-measure measurements to create designer outfits
- You will learn to pattern cut your very own A-line Skirt, Block and Draft
- Learn how to transfer your patterns to your choice fabric and cut them out
- Finally you will be taught how to piece, assemble and stitch your garment together
- Very small working groups to allow for individual attention
- The duration of each session is 2hrs at a cost of £25/hr

Intermediate: Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction Course - Ref No: IPCGC-2

This 8 session course is geared towards those who have a basic knowledge of pattern cutting or have utilised commercial patterns and wish to further develop this skill-set.

- Learn secondary pattern cutting skills that allow you to sculptor them into designer looks
- You will learn to pattern cut your very own made-to-measure Dress Block
- Learn how to construct your patterns from your Block to your Draft
- Learn simple neckline and hemline manipulations that will give your own designs an edge
- You will become skilled in measuring and constructing your Sleeve Block
- Become conversant with transferring and cutting your patterns on your choice fabrics
- Finally you will be taught how to piece, assemble and stitch your garments together
- Very small working groups to allow for individual attention
- The duration of each session is 2hrs at a cost of £30/hr

Advanced: Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction Course - Ref No: APCGC-3

This 8 session course is geared towards those who have great designs and creations of their own and wish transfer them into real time 3D creations or wish broaden their skill-set with a view to starting their own business.

- You will learn advanced and unconventional dart manipulation and re-positioning
- Learn bespoke pocketing, button holes, zip placements
- You will learn to create different kinds of collars, hoods and artistic neckline and sleeve
- On this course you will be learn to apply work-around formulas to artisan craftsmanship that breaks the boundaries of pattern cutting standards and you will exceed all limitations
- In this group you will be allowed to make any garment of your choice with one-to-one assistance to guide you through
- You will be taught how to piece, assemble and stitch your garments together
- Learn how to transfer your patterns to your choice fabric and cut them out
- Very small working groups to allow for individual attention
- The duration of each session is 2hrs and each candidate must book at a cost of £45/hr
