PAUL OAKENFOLD BIO — A true legend of electronic music, with a career that’s shaped global club culture for over 3 decades. From spinning funk in Covent Garden in the late ’70s to pioneering trance and scoring Hollywood blockbusters, Oakenfold’s influence is unmatched.

He launched into the scene after life-changing stints in NYC (signing DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince) and Ibiza in the ’80s, where he brought the Balearic sound back to the UK. He became resident at Ministry of Sound and Amnesia, but it was his iconic Cream residency in Liverpool that cemented his global DJ legacy.

3x Grammy-nominated, Paul’s releases like “Creamfields”, “A Lively Mind”, and his Madonna collaborations speak volumes. He’s remixed Michael Jackson, U2, Justin Timberlake, and scored films like The Bourne Identity, Shrek 2, and Collateral.

He’s played historic sets — from the Great Wall of China to the Hollywood Bowl — and supported Madonna & U2 on world tours (at their request!).

In 1988 he founded Perfecto Records, which helped define trance. Its Perfecto Las Vegas compilation became the biggest-selling DJ album in US history.

Still pushing boundaries, Oakenfold’s Planet Perfecto show in Vegas combined circus, visuals, and euphoric energy. With new music on the way (Pop Killer ft. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gnarls Barkley, OneRepublic), his legacy keeps growing.
