About this event

Are you aged between 14-24, interested in mental health and registered with a birmingham GP?

Join us on Tuesday 16th of September,17:30pm-19:00pm at Pause's Digbeth Hub. Take part in fun activities such as decorating your own journal. Come and find out about our participation group that aims to improve services and create wellbeing opportunities decided by young people.

The session will start off with an icebreaker or introduction. You will then have an opportunity to get to know Pause and The Children's Society and find out how previous groups of young people have shaped mental health services and how you can get involved. Following the icebreaker, the session will involve an arts and crafts activity of designing your own journal, this is following by a powerpoint presentation about participation and an interactive quiz. At the end of the session, if you think this is your 'cup of tea', we will provide you with details, next steps and dates of future meetings. No experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and see you there!

Due to health and safety, a parent/carer will need to be present in the workshop for all young people under 14 years of age.

Please note that to take part in the workshops, young people attending need to be registered with a Birmingham GP and registered with Pause (if parent/carers are attending, they will also need to register their details).

Once you have booked, please register with Pause using the link below. You will not need to register if you have been to Pause before for a session/workshop or are already registered.

Pause is an Emotional Health and Wellbeing service for children and young people up to 25 years old. We run brief drop-in sessions (no referrals, assessments or bookings required!) to help children and young people express their feelings in a safe space and empower them by encouraging them to take ownership of their wellbeing and learn skills and strategies they can use independently to support this. Alongside this, we run a range of workshops to bring like-minded people together, teach them useful strategies and skills for wellbeing and show them what Pause is about!
