Event description

Description

Bring your pooch for a 5km sponsored dog walk and help raise funds for our pet fostering project which helps pets and families to find safety from domestic abuse

There will be a goody bag for every dog and humans will be offered refreshments - tea and coffee will be free, a donation will be asked for cakes and treats

We're celebrating the 10th anniversary of this wonderful project. Serena explains how important this project is:

“If it wasn’t for the Pet’s Project I wouldn’t have left. I could never find the words to convey just how important and much needed this service is to saving lives. I know it might sound dramatic, but I truly believe this project has saved or at least given me and my dogs a life and a future. Thank you"

Please note that by registering to attend this event you are agreeing to these event rules

You can register from 10.45 am and the walk starts at 11.30am

Registration is £5 but we would be delighted if every person could also raise £20 sponsorship

FAQs

Can I register on the day?
You can register on the day, but we'd love it if people could register in advance so that we know how many people to expect

Why is the event advertised as £5 registration but on Eventbrite costs £5.98?
There is a fee of 98p on top of the £5 registration. The 98p goes to Eventbrite

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event
There is a car park at Rushcliffe Country Park which costs £1. Don't drive? There is a Nottingham City Transport bus from the city to the park. It's the Greenline numbers 10 and 10x. They run every 30 minutes but please check the NCT website

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Please email: gill@wais.org.uk
Or call: 07530 103 322

Where do I go when I arrive?Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, just give your name at the registration point

Please come and register at the Visitor’s Centre, next to the car park

Can wheelchair users access the park?
The park is accessible to wheelchair users via the car park entrance or from Barleylands in Ruddington. The paths around the lake are flat, with minor slopes around the rest of the Country Park. There are toilets with disabled access

Out of park opening hours, the access gates outside the Rangers office, at Barleylands, on The Avenue and at the far end of the Car Park can be opened with a National Key Scheme (NKS) RADAR key. These are the same keys that open disabled access toilets elsewhere. Please lock the gate behind you.
