A Preparation for Adulthood Event- Supporting Young People with Additional Needs to Thrive Beyond School


A FREE group for all Parents and Carers of children/young people who have any Special Educational Needs &/or Disabilities (SEND)


Free Parking, Free Lunch, Free Tea/Coffee & Cakes, Wheelchair Accessible.

Whether your child is in Year 9 or already facing the leap into adulthood, this is your opportunity to:

• Explore education and training options, including College & Community Services

• Learn about supported internships and routes into employment with help from colleges, and local job coaches

• Meet Day Services and discover inclusive, meaningful day opportunities

• Hear how independent travel training and social care planning can support greater confidence and independence

• Ask questions about moving from children’s to adult health services, with input from Gill Tyler

• Access advice and updates from adult and children’s social care, education, health, and employment support

• Matt Pilling & Katy Ellison – on co-producing a stronger, more inclusive PfA Strategy - Have your Say!

• Paul Arista– on education, supported internships, and creating better transitions into work
