Free Virtual Professional Development Training for Teachers.

About this Event

The outbreak of Coronavirus has caused major disruptions to the education of young people everywhere. To compensate, teachers faced the major challenge of quickly getting up to speed with the skills necessary to teach and support their students at a distance.

Of course the lockdown and social distancing strategies deployed by governments also challenged how teachers could rapidly acquire such skills, and so Tablet Academy have stepped up to the plate, and, with the support from our friends at Microsoft, will be running a series of 42 free events, in English, Dutch, French and German.

How to join an interactive workshop

this session will be delivered remotely, we are providing you with an O365 account to use for the workshop. The meeting will be held in Microsoft Teams and can be joined by logging in to your workshop account. Full support for joining can be found here: Virtual PD Series: Joining Information for Interactive Workshops It is essential that you follow the guidance on logging in using an in-private/incognito browser window, to prevent this account from clashing with your own work or personal Microsoft accounts.

In this event we will be covering;

  • Whether they are integrated into Teams or used individually, SWAY is a great tool for presenting information, OneNote makes it easy to distribute work and provide feedback to students, and Microsoft Forms can be used to quiz students or to automate formal assessments.

The 42 events will cover 14 unique topics including

  • Introduction to delivering remote lessons using Microsoft Teams
  • Introduction to using Minecraft in Education Edition
  • Teaching Mathematics using OneNote, Forms, and Maths solver
  • Microsoft Accessibility Tools
  • Delivering Remote Presentations using Whiteboard, PowerPoint and Stream
