Event Details

A one day course to provide an overview of the application of rules for fatigue assessment in PD5500 Annex C. Delegates are provided with comprehensive course notes which include worked examples to illustrate the application of Annex C rules.

The course is aimed at individuals who, whilst new to or are requiring a refresher in the fatigue assessment methods in PD5500 Annex C, have relevant engineering qualifications and some experience in pressure vessel design using PD5500. - See full course details here.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made a minimum of 14 days before the course, would be subject to a £30 +VAT admin fee. Cancellations made after this time, but not less than 7 days before the course, forfeit 50% of the registration fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course forfeit 100% of the registration fee paid.
  • We would accept a replacement delegate FOC right up to the day of the course (subject to any special dietary needs for the replacement delegate which we may not be able to accomodate at very short notice).
  • If possible, delegates would be offered to transfer to the next available course subject to a £30 +VAT admin fee.
  • In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled by FCL, a full refund of the registration fee would be made or transferred to the next available course. FCL cannot, however, be held liable for consequential losses in the event that a course is cancelled.

 

A little about our lecturer:

The course will be conducted by Mr Steve Baldwin, Joint Managing Director of Finglow Consultants Limited (FCL). Mr Baldwin has over 30 years’ experience in the design of pressurised equipment for both onshore and offshore applications. He has experience from the viewpoint of both an engineering contractor and an end user.

Mr Baldwin's areas of expertise are in the design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and storage tanks. He also heads up FCL’s consultancy services in the area of piping stress analysis. Mr Baldwin brings with him the decades of expertise held within FCL.

FCL staff have accumulated extensive expertise in the design and fabrication of pressurised equipment though many years of hands-on experience. This knowledge is available to those new to the industry and to those who want to expand their skill base through training courses designed to ensure that participants gain a practical understanding of the subjects covered. Course material has been prepared to avoid industry dependence and therefore to remain as widely applicable as possible. This approach has proved successful but courses aligned to a particular company’s requirements can also be provided on request.
