About this event

  • Event lasts 7 days 2 hours

This course is for parents and carers of PDA children (whether formally diagnosed, self-identified or exploring the profile) up to the age of 18yrs. Families with young people aged 18yrs+ are very welcome to join but due to time constraints we’re unable to cover specific adult approaches and ideas within this course. Each session is packed with information with opportunities for discussion and questions but please note that it’s not designed as a fully interactive workshop.

To ensure delegate confidentiality no recordings are made; this is run as a 'live' event only.

During the course we will discuss: 'What is PDA?', consider what demands are, and their effects, then explore how to help using a variety of different approaches. We'll also take a look at siblings, diagnosis and education.

We would ask that all delegates watch our Introductory Webinar (23 mins) prior to attending the first session, in order that participants start from the same foundation of knowledge that will be built upon during the course: PDA Society Introductory Webinar

    Location, date & time:

This is an online programme (via Zoom), to be delivered over 2 sessions on Friday 5th & 12th July 2024 from 10am to 12.45pm

When booking please ensure that you can attend both sessions as refunds or transfers to another date will not be possible after the course has started.

Refunds and transfers are available up to 7 days prior to the start of the first session.

We recommend that you join 5-10 minutes prior to the start to ensure your technology is working correctly as we will be unable to delay the start due to the number of delegates we anticipate attending. All delegates will need access to the chat function.
