This course is for parents and carers of children with the autism profile of PDA up to the age of 18yrs. Families with young people aged 18yrs+ are very welcome to join but due to time constraints we’re unable to cover specific adult approaches and ideas within this course. Each session is packed with information with opportunities for discussion and questions but please note that it’s not designed as a fully interactive workshop

In addition our trainer is a local resident of Hampshire and we’d therefore like to invite families living specifically within Hampshire and the surrounding area to stay online following completion of the second session for an additional 30 minutes so you can connect with other local families and support each other together after the course.

During the course we will discuss: 'What is PDA?', consider what demands are, and their effects, then explore how to help using a variety of different approaches. We'll also take a look at siblings, diagnosis and education.

We would ask that all delegates watch our Introductory Webinar (23mins) prior to attending the first session, in order that participants start from the same foundation of knowledge that will be built upon during the course: Introduction to PDA

Please note that this course is being run over two sessions via Zoom on the 3rd and 10th February 2022 (10.00am-12.30pm). On week 2 delegates from the Hampshire area are invited to stay online for an additional 30 mins, until 1.00pm. When booking please ensure that you can attend both sessions as refunds or transfers to another date will not be possible after the course has started.

Cost of course: £20 (excluding eventbrite fees), payable in advance. Limited places are available so please do book promptly if you're interested. We recommend that you join the session 5-10 mins prior to the course starting to ensure your equipment is working correctly as we will be unable to delay the start. To ensure delegate confidentiality no recordings are made; this is run as a 'live' event only.
