About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The PDA Society is delighted to be able to offer a series of live Q&A sessions on different topics to support PDA people and their families.

Life and PDA – A Male Parent/Carer Perspective

Join us for an open and supportive Q&A session focused on life as a male-identifying parent or carer of a child with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). This session is designed to create a safe space where men can share experiences, ask questions, and explore practical strategies for navigating everyday challenges.

Whether you're new to PDA or have years of lived experience, this session offers an opportunity to connect with others who understand your journey.

What to Expect:

  • Honest, real-life insights from male parents and carers of PDA children
  • A chance to ask questions in a judgment-free environment
  • Tips on managing daily demands, routines, and family dynamics
  • Discussions around mental health, isolation, and finding support as a male carer
  • Sharing of useful resources, strategies, and self-care practices

This is an inclusive space where all are welcome, regardless of background or experience. Come as you are – listen, share, or just be part of the conversation.

This Q&A will take place on Thursday 20th November, 8 - 9pm

Our guest speaker for this event will be:

Tigger Pritchard – Awesomely Neurodivergent and an Autistic and Pathological Demand Avoidance, Advocate, Consultant and Trainer based in the Southwest of England.

With over thirty-six years of professional and personal experience of working alongside, learning from and advocating for neurodivergent individuals. I've done this in many different ways: support worker, advocate, teacher, facilitator, trainer, manager, lecturer and friend. (For further information, please see my LinkedIn profile.) Plus, I have a lifetime of Autistic experience, which I'm still exploring.
