PDA - Supporting Children, Teenagers and Young Adults Level 2 RQF accredited

This short-course qualification really gets to the heart of how to work well with children, teenagers and young adults who have Pathological Demand Avoidance syndrome.
The qualification validates and extends the work being done by countless numbers of people both in and out of the education system.
- Level 2 qualification (Introductory)
- Accredited by OCN London RQF
The programme is in four learning outcomes, each of which have assessment criteria to be provided as evidence.
- Understand the meaning of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
- Understand the impact PDA has on a child, teenager or young adult and how they might be supported.
- Understand the key principles of positive behaviour management when working with children, teenagers and young adults with PDA.
- Understand the effects that PDA has on learning and how to reduce the impact of this.
Achieve this qualification through a full day of guided learning, all with full tutor support, guidance and feedback.
During the day you are required to complete sections of the workbook, which forms a major part of the assessment.

The trainer for this programme is Karen Ferguson. Karen was appointed as a Specialist Lead in Education for Autism and ADHD and this allowed her to disseminate good practice and deliver training in the field of SEND. Karen offers various SEND and condition specific training.
Fees include all course resources and accreditation fees. You'll also meet like-minded people and can share ideas and resources with them, too. Not forgetting the luxury of refreshments all day and lunch.
