Event description
An evening with Arctic Ultra Athlete Javed Bhatti

About this Event

Fresh off the back of the Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra, come and join us for a talk from Javed Bhatti, followed by a Q&A session and meet & greet.

Javed is an enigmatic Ultra Runner who has been achieving extraordinary feats of endurance over his running career.

On February 3rd he will begin the Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra 430 mile ultra. A brutal self-navigating race in -40 degrees, each participant will pull their belongings with them on a sled, with checkpoints up to 100 miles apart.

Javed has also 'doubled' many UK ultra events- getting to the end and going back the whole distance, or getting there early and doing the race once before it starts, then going again. He does this so that he can collect more 'data' on not only the race but also his energy systems. He's the only human to have doubled the Montane Spine Race - Britain's toughest Ultra, 268 miles along the whole Pennine Way in January 2016.

The Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra will represent the pinnacle in an amazing career for Javed so far, the races he's completed (and/or doubled) have lead him towards this incredible feat.

The event is hosted by the PE for Grownups podcast team. To listen to Javed's pre-arctic episode, follow these links:
