What does PE look like in a Covid world? In a time when activity levels are dropping across the world, PE has never been so important! In these workshops, you will have an opportunity to gain valuable insight into strong effective practice, in how to get the best out of all pupils, and position PE at the heart of children's lives.

PE Deep Dive

What do you know about PE in your school? What does it look like? What does the pupil think? What difference does PE make to your school? What does a deep dive look like in PE? What you will be asked and what will you find out?

This workshop will look at the process of a PE subject deep-dive? It will give you an insight into the process, ideas of the questions and expectations in a deep dive, and best practice guides as to how to make the most out of it.

Physical Education is so much more than just physical activity. Joe Wicks and many other fitness coaches (and PE teachers) are doing a great job at getting our students active in this time of crisis, but participation in exercise (the ‘Physical’ in PE) is only a small part of what we actually teach in PE lessons.

This crisis provides us with a good opportunity to sit down (or stand up and walk around!) and think about what the ‘Education’ in PE truly represents. What do we want our students to learn? How does our school PE programme reflect this? How can we play a vital role in society post-Covid? by PE Teacher Alan Dunstan.

This workshop will incorporate many practical ideas aimed at developing physically, socially and emotionally well -educated children.

30 Active Minutes

The engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity – Chief Medical Officers guidelines recommend that primary school pupils undertake at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day in school.

With so much time spent looking at screens, being isolated at home and less opportunity to move around, it has never been more crucial to get our children engaged in physical activity at regular intervals. This workshop will provide some activity ideas for use within the classroom, in the playground and at home.
