In a world facing rising conflict, division, and uncertainty, the need for peacebuilding has never been greater - not just in conflict zones, but in classrooms, communities, and everyday conversations. Peace is not only the absence of violence, but the presence of justice, inclusion, and understanding - and educators and community leaders have a crucial role to play.

Join us for an inspiring and practical session exploring how educators and communities can lead meaningful change both locally and globally.

We’ll hear powerful examples of peacebuilding in action — from education and community initiatives to global partnerships. Speakers will include members of the newly launched Educators for Peace network, along with others from across Scotland and internationally (to be announced), who are working with young people and communities to foster peace and inclusion.

Whether you're an educator, youth worker, humanitarian worker, community organiser, or simply passionate about creating a more peaceful world, this session offers space to connect, learn, and take away ideas you can apply in your own context.

What to expect:

  • Real-life stories of peacebuilding in education and community spaces
  • Practical ideas for global citizenship and values-based learning
  • Reflections on current challenges and how to respond with hope and action
  • A chance to connect with others committed to peace, justice and global citizenship
