Description

Weave Community: a project of Peace and Justice Centre, with The University of Edinburgh Chaplaincy, the Wild Geese Sangha and the Salisbury Centre, invite you to join our Peace Walk starting at 2pm Sunday 15 October at the Peace Pole on the Terrace, St John’s Church, Princes Street West End, EH2 4JB.

Ask your friends to register too at https://peace15oct.eventbrite.co.uk

A mindful walk for peace, visiting peace places, peace poles, statues and gardens across Edinburgh.

We’ll read poems, hear stories of nonviolence and peacemaking, hold discussions, sing, and dance for peace; with silent sections as well.

We warmly invite those of all faiths and none, all abilities, ages & backgrounds.

With local storytellers, singers and dancers.

From St John's we'll walk through Princes St Gardens, along to the Foot of the Mound, up to Parliament Square and the Quaker Meeting House, along to George Square, and we hope to end at The Salisbury Centre, Salisbury Road near the Commonwealth Pool, at 5pm.

Part of Weave Community / Peace & Justice Festival of Nonviolence.
