Frequently asked questions

What Footwear Shall I Bring?

Suitable hiking footwear such as walking boots or shoes. We would advise against trainers.

How fit do I need to be?

As we will be covering some elevated terrain a reasonable level of fitness is required to maintain a walking pace as a group for approx 2 hours

Can I bring a dog?

Yes we are happy to allow participants to bring their four-legged friends as long as they are used to similar type of walks but ask that you stick to the bylaws and keep dogs on a lead.

Can I bring children

As this is a professional business networking event we would ask that no children are in attendance.

What should I wear

Please always check the weather forecast beforehand and wear suitable clothing for walking/hiking. A waterproof jacket and layering system are always advisable. Walking trousers will cope better than denim and a suitable hat, and sunscreen. A small back pack to carry clothing is also recommended.

Do I need to bring food & drink?

We would recommend bringing a bottle of water and if you like a flask with a hot drink, snacks such as cereal or energy bars and fruit are also good to bring. Ensure that all packaging is taken home with you.

What if I am unable to attend on the day?

Please just let us know if you are unable to make the event and hopefully, you can join us for another one.

I am on medication, do I need to inform you of this?

It would be helpful to make us aware of any medical conditions that may impact your ability to partake in this activity, any medications are your responsibility to take.
