🚶 Pace & Fitness RequirementsThis is a hard, fast-paced hike with minimal breaks. You must have good fitness and stamina, or you might not be able to complete it. The group might not wait for slow walkers.If you're unsure, you're welcome to join and take a shortcut — options are available to shorten the route.

🌦️ Weather & ClothingThe weather on the hills can be highly variable, windy, and cold— even during the summer months.Please wear sturdy hiking boots or shoes with good grip to handle muddy and slippery terrain. Avoid flat trainers or jeans.Dress in layers to accommodate changing weather conditions:

  • Moisture-wicking base layers
  • Insulating mid-layers
  • Waterproof outer layers

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (avoid jeans)

🐶 DogsFit and friendly dogs are welcome! Please keep them on a lead near livestock.

📢 Notes & Safety

  • The route is planned via Komoot and not pre-walked, so expect possible muddy or slippery sections.
  • There are two Grade 1 scrambling ascents. Nothing technical, but confidence and sure-footedness are needed.
  • This event may be cancelled or rescheduled if the weather is unsafe — updates will be emailed to you.
