Peak District Wisdom Walk
Fri 21 April 2017, 08:00 – 16:00 BST
What Are Wisdom Walks?
Wisdom Walks are an opportunity for you to use the natural environment combined with the expertise of an experienced adventure coach to gain new perspectives and fresh insights that will help you achieve your ambitions.
Who Are Wisdom Walks For?
Wisdom Walks are for people with an open mind, a sense of adventure and wonder, and are actively looking for something a little bit different from a normal coaching session.
The Peak District Wisdom Walk
We'll start from the Topley Pike carpark and navigate our way on circular route through Deepdale and the Chee Gorge. It's a stunning 10.75 mile walk that contrasts the Saxon-founded old upland mining communities with the impressively concealed Dales. Along the way we'll have plenty of opportunity for group coaching as well individual coaching.
Note: Transportation is not provided. The event starts and finsihes at Topley Pike Quarry. For SatNav use the postcode: SK17 9TE, this will direct you into the Topley Pike Quarry entrance, on the A6, the Wyedale carpark is directly opposite.
What Do You Need For A Wisdom Walk?

- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Water - 2 litres
- Plastic bags or waterproof sack for your valuables
- Packed lunch and any snackables you'd like to consume on the trail
- Warm hat or cap

The Story Behind Wisdom Walks
“All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking.” Friedrich Nietzsche
As Nietzsche pointed out, walking on its own produces great thoughts, combine that with the wisdom and insight of an experienced coach and powerful thoughts can happen that lead you to a place of positive change.
Wisdom Walks stimulate thought and creativity through movement. In a normal face to face coaching session in an office or cafe, you use your mind, but the body is static. You lose the power that comes through the mind-body connection. This connection is the key to achieving a higher perspective and opening up more possibilities and therefore more choices.
