About this event
Make
Make a mess, make it up to someone, or make a piece of art. What does it mean when you make it? Can you fake it til you make it? Join PechaKucha London at the next in person PechaKucha eventwhere you can make your own mind up about what our fantastic speakers have to say about ‘Make’.
We're partnering with M.Y.O (Make Your Own) - The Creative Space for Grown Ups! What's their mission? To help adults explore their creative side! Everyone is creative, they just need an outlet. They provide the space, materials, equipment and guidance, so you can flex those creative muscles together.
There is limited capacity for this event, so book early to avoid disappointment!
What is PechaKucha? In short, it really is about getting creative people together over a drink for a fun and casual gathering to share ideas, stories, thoughts, holiday snaps, anything really all in the PechaKucha 20x20 format.
Sound like a million other speaking events you have been to? Well, what makes a PechaKucha Night different is the simple quick-fire presentation style we use - each presenter gets 20 slides that are 20 seconds each; meaning it is both easy to produce for the presenter, easy to digest for the audience and most importantly it saves everyone from boredom and no one’s PechaKucha talk can drag on for too long!

Fascinated by how we can tell stories to revive communal living and very open to collaboration.

Moritz Waldermeyer - Designer
Moritz Waldemeyer is an internationally renowned designer based in London. His work occupies a diverse range of creative spaces, from art and product design to fashion and entertainment.
Originally from Germany, Moritz moved to London in 1995 to study engineering at Kings College. He completed his Mechatronics master’s degree in 2001 before making his debut into the design world, enabling interactive show pieces for Swarovski’s Crystal Palace Exhibition.
Shells Ellison - Founder and Adventurer
My name is Shells (aka Michelle) Ellison and my tales of adventure take my audiences on a journey. To explore what is possible in their own lives and get them out of their comfort zone. Why? Because that is where the magic happens and it can create a ripple effect across other areas of their lives.
Yoni Alter - Designer
Yoni Alter is a multimedia artist exploring the threshold between art and design. His vibrantly coloured works segue between the figurative, the abstract, form, and space, always challenging viewers to look twice. Guided by experimentation and semiotics, Yoni passionately seeks new ways of creating visual representations, working across sculpture, painting, print, and digital media.
Duncan Bhaskaran Brown - Author, Morris Dancer
Duncan has done his fair share of over indulgence, strictly speaking he’s drunk more than his fair share of wine and eaten more than his fair share of cake. Along the way he found himself in some interesting places like on stage with S-Club, a stint as Mayor of his home town and morris dancing in Westminster Abbey.
After 20 years of over-doing it, he cleaned up his act and trained with the Easyway clinic, the world’s most successful stop smoking service. Now he spends his time helping people push over-indulgence out of their life.
He lives in Abingdon with one wife, one daughter and two bonsai trees.
PechaKucha London is a volunteer run, not for profit organisation. Proceeds go towards event costs and all remaining income generated is donated to the PechaKucha Global fund - helping events like this run around the world.
