We're back for another round of 10 quick fire talks from inspirational speakers, this time on the theme of 'Migration'!

About this event

PechaKucha Night Manchester Vol. 31 - 'Migration'

For our 31st PechaKucha we're focussing on the theme of migration.

At a time when movements are becoming ever more restricted, be it by pandemic or policy, we want to explore the stories of those whose lives have been shaped by migration.

Also, in solidarity with the black community and the Black Lives Matter movement, we want to come together to support and share how we can be better allies in the continuing fight against racism.

So, in association with People's History Museum, we're bringing together a host of incredible speakers, including campaigners, designers, illustrators, researchers and coders to talk around the theme of migration using the 20x20 format: they have 20 images, 20 seconds per image, no stopping.

Aside from the talks we'll also be showcasing artwork from our special month-long activity to create a 'Flag for Manchester' led by Chebo Besa. We'll also be running, for the first time ever(!), a Q&A after the talks have finished.

We've made this event FREE to make it as open and accessible as possible during these difficult times. However, if you can spare any change, we would encourage you to donate to any good causes that support the Black Lives Matter movement or those helping people worst affected by Coronavirus.

The event will be streamed live on Zoom in a webinar format. This means the audience will not be on camera but can participate in the chat and through submitting questions. We will be making a recording to later be uploaded to YouTube and Facebook.

WARNING: Tickets go mega quickly, so act fast to get yours!

About PechaKucha Night Manchester

PechaKucha Night Manchester was relaunched in June 2016 by a new team after an eighteen month hiatus.

This is our eighteenth PechaKucha following a string of successful events.
