Informal meet-up where we can share and troubleshoot arts-based teaching approaches with a panel of experts and ask: How can arts-based and creative pedagogies open up new ways of knowing, learning, and engaging with the world — particularly in the face of social and epistemic crises?
With short provocations from four brilliant scholar-educators:
- Tara Page, Professor of Pedagogy and Praxis at Goldsmiths - researcher, artist, pedagogue who explores making and learning with new materialist theories using practice and empirical methods and methodologies
- Emmanouela Mandalaki, Professor of Organizations at NEOMA Business School - engages with (auto)ethnographic and qualitative methodologies heavily informed by her artistic practices
- Georgia Stavraki, Assistant Professor in the Department of Organizational Management, Marketing and Tourism in the International Hellenic University - expert on photo-elicitation arts based methods and arts marketing perspectives
- Pilar Rojas-Gaviria, Professor of Marketing at KEDGE Business School - brings poetry and dance into the classroom, including collaborations with the Birmingham Royal Ballet, to foster embodied and transformative learning
Open to all, especially those in marketing, education, arts, design, and critical social science. Register here and a Zoom link will be emailed to attend the panel, bring your coffee or tea for an exciting chat!
