The 2016 Annual Conference of the Association of British Cycling Coaches takes place at Coventry's Ramada Inn and Suites on the weekend of the 12th-13th November, 2016. Open to both members and non-members, the annual conference this year includes an afternoon of workshops on the Saturday (see below), followed by a full-day of speaker presentations on Sunday 13th, delivered by a selection of world-class experts including Lionel Reynaud (currently coach to the French Para Olympic cycling team, from Toulouse, France), Ian Emmerson, OBE (ex-President of British Cycling Federation, Director of UCI Track Cycling World Masters, and Lincoln GP organiser), Katie Colclough (ex-professional road and track cyclist, and 2013 World Team Time Trial Champion) and Mick Ives (ex-professional cyclist and holder of 5 World Masters, and 62 British national cycling titles).
Proposed Workshops, Saturday 12th November (afternoon only):
Workshop 1: Annual Training Plans covering training to succeed vs training to ride and how to develop an effective training plan
Workshop 2: The Latest on Indoor Training to include an update on training with the current generation of turbos, the benefits of training apps and virtual training environments
Workshop 3: Time-Efficient Training covering how to generate an effective training program for the time-crunched athlete; Effective Training in 6-hours per Week

Registration opens at 12:00 on Saturday 12th, and at 09.00 on Sunday 13th. The ticket price includes refreshments and a two-course lunch for those delegates attending on Sunday.
