This event, organised by the British Mexican Society's Book Club (but open to all who wish to participate) will take the form of a presentation followed by a discussion on Juan Rulfo's novel, Pedro Páramo. The presentation and discussion will be led by Fernando Sdrigotti, the Argentinian writer, translator and cultural critic. He teaches Spanish language and Latin American film and literature at Birkbeck, University of London. He is the author of several books and pamphlets, including Shitstorm (Open Pen, 2018), Grey Tropic (Dostoyevsky Wannabe, 2019), Jolts (Influx Press, 2020), We Are But Nothing (Rough Trade Books, 2023), and A Foreign Country Is the Past (Influx Press, 2025).
