What happens at Peep Progression Pathway Courses

Free weekly course for parents and carers to attend with their children. This group is for families with children from birth to four years old.

This will be focused around supporting your child's Early Communication and Language Development through everyday experiences and play.

Each week we will follow the same structure as a Peep group with....

A warm welcome for everyone with our ‘Hello Song’

Singing and rhymes

Story time

Time to play together and the added opportunity to create a keepsake book for your child, recording their learning and development

A chance to talk with other parents and share ideas about children’s learning and development

Ideas for things to do at home

Wind down before finishing with our ‘Goodbye Song’.

The last week 12th of November 2025 will be a celebration week, to celebrate course completion with awarding of certificates.

Please Note

This is a 12 week course – Wednesdays 09:30-11:00am. There is an expectation for families to attend weekly sessions for 12 weeks. This group is run by Midlothian council for families within the local authority.

Dates are the 13th, 20th, 27th August 3rd, 17th, 24th September 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th October

5th,and12th November.

Please note there will be no group on the 10th September.
