A reflective training session for those interested in supporting each other better

About this event

As individuals we have all been under stress from the Coronavirus pandemic that has impacted our lives and ability to work. It can be hard to maintain a caring environment for yourself and others in times of stress.

Peer 2 Peer is a practical demonstration on how to be a good listener as you observe a conversation between two colleagues. The session will show you how we can support each other and reflect on recent challenges, coping techniques, hopes and support. At the end of the conversation there will be time for participants to reflect and discuss on the conversation. The training is for those in the 3rd sector to better support each other and clients/volunteers they work with.

Learn how to listen effectively, be clear in boundaries and practice confidentiality.

No previous experience needed but if you have already attended the Good conversations training you will be using the same skills. This is not a stand in for supervision training.

If for any reason you cannot attend one of our training events, please let us know ideally three working days in advance.

Please note this training is for charities, community activists, community groups and social enterprises based in Midlothian, Scotland - other areas of the Lothians will also be accepted.
