Peer Coaching for Personal Life
Event Information
About this event
In our personal lives we are more able to encourage each other and achieve our aspirations when we ensure that our values and beliefs are aligned to our purpose.
This is best achieved by using the 3 DENT© concepts of: Solidity; Mutuality; & Purposefulness. These concepts means that, a peer is useful when they are independently healthy, integrate with their social world, and are focused on a collective way forward to allow us to make balanced and healthy decisions.
The DENT© model is an approach to achieve that aim. The starting point, is to appraise our essential needs, which enables us to uncover the aspects of our lives that may be hindering progress and even affecting our mental wellbeing.
By setting intentions and taking purposeful action, we can peer support each other to build resilience and sustain the solidity needed to achieve our aspirations.
We ensure that our relationships between us and the world, other people, and ourselves is allowing us to negotiate a path through our lives that lead us to our own sense of success.
Mutuality is achieved through meaningful connection with others that ensures that we utilise the support of our peers in healthily interdependent ways. (https://thedentmodel.com/)
