Paul Popham Peer Mentor Training Program.
This course is for Kidney Patients and/or carers who would like to volunteer and learn how to become a 'Peer Mentor.
A Peer Mentor is a Kidney Patient and/or a carer or family member of a Kidney Patient that provides information, advice and emotional support to other Kidney Patients, carers and/or family members. This can include providing advice and support face to face or over the phone, as well as during hospital visits and events.
Our training program has recently achieved Agored Accreditation. Therefore, every person who completes the program will receive a recognised Peer Mentor qualification.
The course is currently being delivered online due to the pandemic.
The course will take place 10:00am-2:00pm on Tuesday 16th January 2021 AND 10:00am-2:30pm on Tuesday 23rd January 2021. Please note, attendance on both days is required.
