This event will look at peer research, what it can be used for, how it is currently being used, and how the youth sector and local authorities need to the be supported to carry some of this out.

London Young Researchers is a three-year project, funded by Trust for London, looking to build the skills and capacity in organisations for young people to conduct peer-led research. These networks, looking at peer research more widely, will meet several times a year thoroughout. This will also be an interactive workshop; scoping what challenges there are for the sector in terms of using peer research.

Our first network event will be on May 28th from 4pm to 6pm

This event will cover:

  • Our new publication; a literature review into peer research, participatory research methods, and lived experience. It answers some basic questions like what is peer research, and where is it currently being used in the UK and abroad.
  • Toynbee Hall will also be sharing their experience from their last piece of peer research, into the needs of older people in Tower Hamlets.
  • We also want to learn from those in the room about what the sector needs to feel confident to conduct peer research or use participatory research methods more in their own organisations to improve practice.

Refreshments will be provided on arrival.

This work is funded by Trust for London
