Event description

Description

Do you wonder how peer reviewers come to their conclusions when assessing your research writing?

Do you worry that they are not seeing its value?

Do you wish you could gain more benefit from peer review?

Do you worry about reviewing other people’s work?

This session will examine the peer review of outputs in preparation for REF 2021. It will consider the process involved and its value, both to the individual being reviewed and the department which will return their work. It explores issues of parity, accuracy in grading, and difficulties in grading work in diverse areas of research. The workshop will be useful to researchers who must submit their work for peer review and for those tasked with its assessment.

Prof. Robert Kronenburg is the research lead in the Liverpool School of Architecture, University of Liverpool

Dr Lucinda Thompson is the Peer Review Coordinater at the University of Liverpool
