Overview

Join us for a virtual Peer-Support Session focusing on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the creative sector - let's learn, share, and grow!

Welcome to our Peer-Support Session focusing on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the cultural and creative sectors! This is part of our Changemakers Community programme and this is our 2nd Quarter Peer-Support session.

We know why inclusion matters. We're working on how and who we hire. So this session asks the next question: How do we create an inclusive culture when our teams are built on a project-by-project basis with freelancers and artists?

This 1.5-hour, discussion-driven workshop is a space for us to co-create the roadmap for project-based inclusion. This is about designing processes that work for a temporary, expert workforce and high-stakes creative output.

Together, with your peers working in the creative sector, we will explore:

  • Practical ways to onboard and work with freelance creatives into a project's culture, ensuring they feel valued from Day 1 to after the project ends.
  • How to design a "Project Charter" that sets clear rules of engagement on feedback, communication hours, and respect for everyone on the team.
  • How we can, as leaders, advocate for pay equity and transparency for our freelance partners.

Come prepared to share your challenges, best practice and leave with clear practical tips, which you can implement tomorrow to build a better, more inclusive way of working - one project at a time.

Who is this for?

This is a peer-support session for creative leaders, producers, studio managers, and anyone responsible for hiring, managing or collaborating with project-based artists and freelancers.

What are these peer-support sessions?

A space for action, accountability, and real change in the creative sector.

Are you actively working to make the creative sector more inclusive and equitable? Looking for a community that challenges, supports, and holds you accountable in your journey?

Let's work together to create a more inclusive and equitable creative sector!
