Event description
Peer support group to support mental health & wellbeing

About this event

Good mental health and wellbeing means feeling able and happy enough to be involved or engaged with others and to be able to enjoy our lives.

We are group of friendship and relationship ambassadors and recognise the importance of having friends and that this is good for mental health and wellbeing.

We wanted to share our learning and create a safe space where people with learning disabilities and autistic adults can share their feelings, thoughts and experiences, where people could feel listened to and where people can make friends and reduce loneliness

The Peer Support Group will start in March and will be open to people aged 18 and over with a learning disability and autistic adults living in Hyndburn.

There will be opportunity to get involved in various crafts and it will be a safe space to share thoughts and ideas

There will be a celebration event at the end of the 12 weeks

Spaces are limited for each session, please book your FREE space each week
