Event description

Description

Get the festive season off to a start with our Christmas concert in the heart of the City of London. Anthems old and new, readings for the season, and carols for all to sing will put you in a celebratory spirit. It all takes place in the intimate, candlelit Georgian surroundings of St Botolph’s Church, a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street Station. Join us afterwards for a glass of mulled wine and mince pie (included in your ticket price).

Tickets booked via Eventbrite are £12 (£8 for under-18s). At the door they will cost £15 (£10), so we recommend booking online! (Seating is general, i.e. your ticket guarantees a seat, but specific seats are not allocated in advance.)

Programme includes:

Alleluya! A New Work is Come on Hand – Peter Wishart

There Shall a Star from David Rise Up – Felix Mendelssohn

The Holy Boy – John Ireland

Children’s Song of the Nativity – traditional

The Shepherd’s Carol – Bob Chilcott

In the Bleak Midwinter – Harold Darke
