Event description
The Paediatric Emergency Medicine South Coast partnership is here!

About this Event

PEMSoC is a new multi-professional education collaboration between the Paediatric Emergency medicine teams in Southampton Children’s Hospital, Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth and the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton.

PEMSoC is open to anyone training in, or interested in paediatric emergency medicine within Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Wessex Deaneries (and beyond!).

We envisage hosting study days throughout the year covering topics that are traditionally harder to achieve competencies in.

The first study day is hosted by the team from The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton.

The day will run from 09.00-17.30 and will finish with a social event so you have the chance to network and explore the laines in Brighton.

Most importantly this is a FREE multiprofessional collaboration - we encourage ENPs, Nurses, ANPs and Doctors alike to attend and contribute to future planning and delivery.

Topics include:

- ENT and Surgical Emergencies

- Common and emergency gynaecological presentations

- Approach to medically unexplained symptoms and perplexing presentations in the ED

- Controversies in safeguarding

More to be announced!

The venue is the Kaizen Room in St. Mary's Hall at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. A map and directions will be emailed to attendees.
