Wednesday 8th May 2019

Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel

Dear Colleagues

We are pleased to invite you to attend our free Making Sense of Evidence: Using Research to Inform Clinical Decision Making One Day Workshop on Wednesday 8th May 2019 at the Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel.

Please note that this workshop is free to attend however places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

At PenCLAHRC we believe that better health care can be provided to patients by making decisions that are based on evidence.

Our Making Sense of Evidence (MSE) workshops are designed to teach you how to find and use evidence to make effective health and social care decisions and are open to all clinicians, allied health professionals, managers, and other colleagues interested in improving their critical thinking.

During our standard Making Sense of Evidence workshop you will:

Formulate a focused question

Track down, organise and assess the quality of evidence

Learn how to use critical appraisal skills with Randomised Control Trials (RCT) and Systematic Reviews (SR)

Understand the application of evidence in practice

Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of your educational process

To find out how our Making Sense of Evidence Modules can assist you in your work please visit our MSE Modules page for more information.

We look forward to hearing from you and please do not hesitate to get in touch with the team with any questions! We would also welcome you to forward this email to any colleagues that may be interested in attending, thank you.
