Learn why employer engagement with education is key to making young people aware of local opportunities, and stopping the skills drain

About this event

The second annual Pendle Employer & Education Summit will take place on Friday 15 July at Colne Park High. We will discuss the ways employers can make sure they have a ready made workforce, and how we need to make young people aware that they don't need to leave Pendle to achieve. There will be plenty of time for networking too.

Employers: Are school leavers aware of the opportunities within your company, or others on their own doorsteps? Are you getting candidates with the right skills for your roles? Find out how your business can support young people in East Lancashire, whilst ensuring your future workforce isn't leaving the borough.

Education providers: Are your pupils aware of the roles available in Pendle? Are they getting the right/enough support from local employers? Come along to find out how best to engage local employers and make sure your pupils are ready for the world of work when they leave you.
