Description

Join Dusk Till Dawn Events for a haunted weekend, filled with tales of the famous Pendle Hill Witches and take part in a real ghost hunt upon the very eerie Pendle Hill itself as you follow in the footsteps of the Pendle Witches for a weekend you will never forget!
The Pendle Hill weekend is certainly not for the faint of heart, as it is said that the Witches of Pendle still haunt the hills and pathways, thus driving fear into the locals and all that try to investigate the area!
Take part in a ghost hunt at an old haunted Inn and stay and sleep in one of the oldest buildings in Pendle, thought to be haunted by several ghosts and spirits. Your visit will include a ghost walk of the local Clitheroe Town and a visit to Pendle Hill upon night fall. Here we will undertake an investigation of the area, known to have been frequented by the Witches and other terrifying ghostly energies.
Brief History
In the autumn of 1612 some parts of Lancashire seemed infested with the presence of witches. Local villagers of varying ages were put to trial and accused of witchcraft.
The trial of the Pendle witches is one of the best documented events in the world and remains a great mystery of how the following Lancashire villagers came to be found guilty of witchcraft. The names of those accused were:
• Elizabeth Southerns, more commonly known as Demdike
• Elizabeth Device Daughter of Demdike
• James Device Son of Elizabeth Device
• Alison Device Daughter of Elizabeth Device
• Anne Whittle more commonly known as Chattox
• Anne Redferne Daughter of Chattox
• Alice Nutter
• Jane Bulcock
• John Bulcock Son of Jane Bulcock
• Katherine Hewitt more commonly known as Mould-Heels
• Isabel Robey
• Margaret Pearson
