Event description

Description

Start is at the Heritage Centre car park. It follows the river to the Watermeetings. After a small climb, with views of Pendle Hill, we re-join the river at Blacko Bar to Admergill. We then start to climb across fields and tracks to Weets. There are near views of Blacko Tower. From Weets we follow paths, with stunning views towards the Yorkshire Dales, down to County Brook. Back through the village of Hey, then Slipper Hill. We complete our walk along the canal to Barrowford Locks before we return to our start point.

Approximate length of walk: 12 miles

Walk grading: Very Hard - longer walks with varied terrain (10+ miles)

Pace of walk: we hope to set a faster pace with only occasional breaks.
