Description

This is a hilly trip around some of the 'historic county of Yorkshire' with a quick foray into North Yorkshire. We will be following part of the Pennine Way via Lothersdale to visit Pinhaw Beacon (height 388 metres). We are also following part of the Pennine Bridleway and Black Lane Ends.

Approximate length of walk: 11 miles

Walk grading: Very Hard - longer walks with varied terrain (10+ miles)

Pace of walk: we will set a gentle pace with regular breaks to catch your breath and enjoy the view.

Approximate amount of ascent: 240 metres

Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for walking. The weather can change rapidly so please bring waterproofs. Please also bring drinking water.

There are bus stops both directions virtually outside the pub. Public toilets all closed, but landlady will open at 10 just for our convenience, and we can park there all day as she doesnt open till 4pm.

Dogs are not allowed on this walk.

Please bring a packed lunch.
