Description

From Sabden, up onto the slopes of Pendle Hill, to the grave of a highwayman on the moors, with stunning views of the Ribble Valley, the Irish Sea and the Bowland fells.

Approximate length of walk: 6 miles

Walk grading: Hard - walks with some difficult terrain and hilly sections (1 – 9 miles)

Pace of walk: we hope to set a faster pace with only occasional breaks.

Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for walking. The weather can change rapidly so please bring waterproofs. Please also bring drinking water.

Parking in Sabden car-park [charges apply] or on the side streets.

Please bring a packed lunch. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Booking is essential for this walk. Please book a place through this website if you wish to take part.

Please ensure that if you arrive by car that you park considerately and pay any parking charges which are applicable.
